Many years back, I was told a story of a young lady who was terribly sick, which rendered the family financially handicapped. It was so severe that there was no money to take care of her until she died. Her body was moved to the mortuary and the entire family mourn her. Her death was painful because she left behind two kids.
Her husband had to pray to God in tears to bring his wife back to life but nothing happened until her body was moved to the morgue. One night, something strange happened, where her body was kept in the morgue, the security and the staff on duty got scared because such has never happened before, The lady suddenly came back to life, stood up, and found herself among the corpse kept in the mortuary.
She began to think and spoke to herself if she was dead or alive, she walked towards the door, the security man and other staff on duty heard sound of footsteps and fear starts to grip everyone, hearing sound of footsteps and voices coming from the morgue. Suddenly, she opened the door and everyone had to run in fear because of the strange ghost that opened the door, and was approaching them.
When she noticed that they all ran, she became afraid also and had to join them in running. It was such a terrible and fearful experience for the security man most especially, because the lady ran after him speedily being that she does not know why they all ran with fear.
As the security man kept running with deadly fear, he looked back and saw the lady running after him seriously, he had to triple his speed and started calling for help. The lady was running after him being that she did not know why they were running, she was looking for safety too, even when her safety was not guaranteed with the man she was running to meet.
What you are afraid of, is also afraid of you. Isaiah 41:10 says, Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
I want you to know that your fear is afraid of you, you are a unique being, powerful and divinely endowed with grace to do exploit. Don’t limit yourself. That fear of tomorrow, challenges of life, worries, anxiety, tough time, hardship, persecution, and test of time are all afraid of you.
The moment you take your stand in the name of Jesus and lay hold on the authority God has given to you, you will surmount every mountain and calm all raging storms.
Zechariah 4:7 – Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
Instead of lamenting, pray
Instead of crying, pray
Instead of worry, pray
Instead of fear, pray.
This is absolutely correct
