“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!” — Revelation 5:12
From the very beginning, God’s intention for mankind has been clear: “Let us make man in our image, and let them have…” (Genesis 1:26). Humanity was created to have—not to lack, not to struggle, not to barely get by. God’s original design was abundance, dominion, and fellowship.
But man fell. Adam, by obeying the serpent, handed over the keys of authority. The Bible is clear: “To whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are” (Romans 6:16). By choosing Satan’s voice over God’s command, Adam abdicated his authority, and the earth fell under the dominion of darkness.
Yet, God had a plan. Redemption was not an afterthought—it was the blueprint. From Genesis 3:15, we see a prophecy whispered into the garden: “The seed of the woman shall bruise your head.” That seed was Jesus.
The Good News: A Divine Exchange
“For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16). Not the perfect world, not the sinless world—but the broken, rebellious, undeserving world. He gave His only Son. Why? So that we may have again. What Adam lost, Christ came to restore.
But it wasn’t just about salvation from sin—it was a divine exchange.
Jesus, the sinless Son of God, became sin so we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:21). He was slain to receive on our behalf. When He hung on that cross, He wasn’t just dying—He was receiving for us everything heaven had to offer.
And what did He receive? Revelation 5:12 lays it out plainly:
- Power
- Riches
- Wisdom
- Strength
- Honor
- Glory
- Blessing
These seven things form the complete inheritance of the believer—the full gospel. Jesus didn’t need to receive these for Himself. He already had them as God. He became a man to receive them for us.
He was slain to receive so that we might receive.
The God-Kind of Life
In John 10:10, Jesus declared: “I have come that you might have life, and have it more abundantly.” He wasn’t speaking to corpses. He was speaking to the physically alive, offering them something deeper—Zoe, the God-kind of life.
This life is not just endless—it’s limitless. It’s the kind of life where lack is unlawful, weakness is unacceptable, and shame has no room. It’s a life filled with wisdom, covered in glory, and dripping with divine strength.
But here’s the truth: what Jesus died to give you, you must rise to receive. He has done His part. Now, you must stand in faith, declare, and possess.
The Authority to Forbid and Permit
Matthew 18:18 (Amplified) declares:
“Whatever you forbid and declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already forbidden in heaven…”
This is our spiritual posture. We don’t beg—we declare. Heaven has already outlawed sickness, poverty, shame, and failure for those in Christ. Our job is to echo heaven’s verdict on earth.
Are there improper things happening in your life? Stand up and forbid them. Not in your strength, but by the blood of the Lamb who was slain.
A Call to Action
The time to be casual with your destiny is over. Jesus paid in full for your wholeness. Now is the time to rise, declare, and receive.
Declare:
- I walk in unusual power.
- I operate in divine prosperity.
- I overflow with supernatural wisdom.
- I am strengthened in every part of my being.
- I am clothed with honor.
- I shine with God’s glory.
- I am blessed and cannot be cursed.
As you declare, pray in the Spirit. Let your tongues release thunder. Heaven is ready—are you?
Final Word
The Lamb was not slain in vain. You were in that group picture. When He died, you died. When He rose, you rose. When He ascended, you ascended. Now sit with Him in heavenly places and walk in the reality of what He has received for you.
The struggle is over. Toil has ended. You were slain to receive—now, go and possess.
