Most people don’t know I started my theological journey from Calvinism, there is arguably no work by John Calvin or anyone in his school of thoughts that I have not read and studied
I read as many books I could lay my hands on, I later got hooked to a site where I got free books.
I have been where many people call new revelation, I smile and mind my business when I see those stuffs today not because I know better but I understand what knowledge can do to anyone.
Something made me theological open and conserved when it comes to most things we fight and argue about.
Myself and some of my brethren then were arguing over prayers and deliverance ministry, my stance was opposite now.
A sister that I respect alot stood up as the argument got hot 🔥, she said either spirit dies or demons fight believers or not she didn’t know but few years back, she moved into an new apartment.
She belongs to our school of then too but had became liberal Calvinist afterward.
The very first night in the house, a man came out of the wall and slept with her first in her sleep and later physically.
She kept confessing the scripture and mental gymnastics that most people adopted today.
She got a material from a friend on dealing with evil cauldron but she didn’t read it.
Few days later she was at the Power must change hands meeting of Mountain of fire and miracles ministry, when Papa D.K Olukoya came on the altar that day, the prayer point was spirit spouse harassing me be buried by fire 🔥 now.
It was a prayer point that we called non theological but when she saw people praying and shaking their head, she roared too.
As she was praying she saw a giant with a very long manhood appeared before her, the ground opened up and he was buried by fire.
She opened her eyes while the prayer was going on, as she closed her eyes the demon was begging her in agony but she didn’t stop praying.
Every other prayers that day she roared like a champion. That was the last time she was harassed by spirit spouse spiritually and physically.
She sat down as we looked at ourselves and asked her questions.
I was not convinced as we departed that day but the next day, I questioned her on few more things, how can a man come out of the wall and slept with a believer.
She told us how she became unconscious whenever the man came out until he left.
Who is D.K Olukoya was my next question?
The sister gave me Holy Fever written by Dr D.K Olukoya that was my first steps towards any thing I came to know later.
I have since read more than 30 of his books and had been under his ministrations.
We should seek balance rather than criticise others who don’t belong to our school of thoughts.
That we don’t argue doesn’t mean we don’t know what we know.
That we are not charismatic doesn’t mean we are not sound theogically.
That was how I stopped arguing with people on many things rather I will watch until such comes to the balanced truth.
A youngman was teaching open theology around me one day I smiled as he bragged of many things, I saw the spirit speaking in him but chose not to talk.
I know the end of such from the beginning, it will lead to bondage and pride.
I have been there before, I knew the next thing he would tell me if I try to correct him, so I told him to explain a text in context with other text.
That’s the way to kill the strange spirit, it doesn’t honour anyone except people in the strange school of thoughts.
Till date, I avoid arguments as much as possible, ‘Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels’. 2 Tim 2:23.
Someone told me few days ago he stopped going to church 8yrs ago and his friends confessed the same.
Listening to them, I asked a question they couldn’t answer, they were all in church yesterday.
There are thousands of souls perishing while we engage in unnecessary arguments.
If you call me theological illiterate, I won’t argue with you because you’re right, if you call me a genius, I will agree too because you’re also right.
I will rather seek power to get people saved than waste my time doing what doesn’t have eternal value.
The devil knew this generation is poof up with knowledge and strange deep rhema so he created every avenue to keep people busy doing unprofitable business.
If this blesses you good and if it doesn’t great but before you engage the devil in foolhardy remember how Jesus dealt with him in Matthew 4.
Intellectualism has brought us nothing than weak Christianity.
