Every day, God offers us a fresh reminder of His love, mercy, and grace through His Word. Today’s message from Pastor W.F. Kumuyi is a powerful reminder that when Jesus speaks forgiveness into a sinner’s life, it is not just a possibility—it is the final word.
Forgiveness That Cannot Be Reversed
In Mark 2:5, Jesus looked upon a helpless paralytic and declared:
“Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.”
That moment was not merely an announcement; it was a divine adoption. The man who once carried the weight of sin and weakness was instantly brought into the family of God. The Pharisees could not change it. The man’s own doubts could not reverse it. Even the angels, as glorious as they are, could not overrule it. When Jesus, the Son of God, speaks forgiveness, heaven confirms it and nothing can overturn it.
From Sinner to Daughter of Grace
In Luke 7:37–47, we see a woman burdened by a sinful past. Broken, ashamed, and full of regret, she wept at the feet of Jesus, washing them with her tears and wiping them with her hair. The Pharisee who hosted Jesus saw her as “a sinner.” But Jesus saw her as a forgiven daughter.
His words cut through every accusation:
“Her sins, which are many, are forgiven.”
That statement changed her identity forever. What others remembered about her no longer mattered. She was no longer a sinner—she was now redeemed. When the blood of Jesus washes us, our past no longer defines us.
The Father’s Word, The Foremost Word, The Final Word
Pastor Kumuyi reminds us that what Jesus says is the Father’s word. His declaration of pardon is foremost, final, and forever. No sin is too great, no past too dirty, no failure too deep. Once He calls you “Son” or “Daughter,” you belong to Him, adopted by grace into His eternal family.
How to Receive This Grace
Friend, this same grace is available to you today. You can experience the joy of forgiveness and adoption by taking three simple steps:
- Accept your need for a Savior – Acknowledge that you cannot save yourself.
- Confess your sins and turn to Him – Repent and surrender your heart to Jesus.
- Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ – Trust in His finished work on the cross.
Then, pray a simple prayer:
Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose again for my salvation. I confess my sins, and I receive Your forgiveness today. Thank You for calling me Your own. From now on, I belong to You. Amen.
The Final Word Over Your Life
Jesus not only saves; He heals, delivers, and restores. Every sickness, every burden, and every fear bows to His name. As Pastor Kumuyi prayed, the final word of Jesus brings healing to your body, peace to your mind, and salvation to your soul.
Today, walk in the confidence that you are no longer a sinner bound by the past—you are a son, a daughter, adopted by grace.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” – John 8:36
