“And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.” – 1 Kings 18:41
God Is About to Make You a Sign
There are moments in our lives when God does something so undeniable, so radiant, that no one can doubt it was Him. This is not the season of quiet blessings or hidden breakthroughs. This is the season of public signs — evidence so clear that your enemies will have to say, “This must be God.”
You may not have the degrees, the connections, or the accolades. Others may boast of their qualifications, but God chooses the one who boasts in Him. If you have more of God, then you have everything you need. You are the sign. What He’s about to do in your life will not only validate your calling but also bring glory to His name.
Rebuild the Altar: A Call to Consecration
Before the fire fell in Elijah’s story, he rebuilt the altar. This is a call to believers everywhere — rebuild your altar. Your office desk, your business space, your home — wherever God has placed you — must become a place of communion, sacrifice, and prayer. A place where God can move through you and for you.
Let the Fire Fall
When Elijah prayed, fire fell. Not from matches or kindling, but from heaven itself. It consumed the sacrifice, the wood, the water, and even the stones. That fire represented God’s presence, power, and approval. In the same way, the fire of God is about to consume every barrier in your life. The impossibilities will be swallowed up by divine possibility.
Everything the enemy built in your life — every limitation, every mockery, every closed door — will be licked up by fire. God will chase away every secret hater, bind every wolf, and prepare a table before you in their presence.
Why the Sign?
God gives a sign not just for personal affirmation, but for national repentance. He is calling our generation back to Him — not because we are perfect, but because He loves us in spite of us. The sign is a call: return to the Lord. It’s a redirection, a negotiation for a U-turn, a signal that God still wants His people.
I Hear a Sound…
Elijah heard a sound before there was any physical sign of it. In the midst of drought, he said, “I hear the sound of the abundance of rain.” Sometimes your bank account, health report, or family situation might scream “drought,” but your spirit hears abundance.
This is the transition point — from sign to sound. God has shown you He is with you. Now He wants to birth something in your spirit. It’s not yet in your backyard, but it’s already in your heart. That dream, that vision, that restoration — you can feel it. It’s coming.
Prepare for Fast-Track Mode
When the servant saw a small cloud, Elijah knew it was time. He told Ahab, “Hurry! Run now before the rain stops you!” This is fast-track season. Things are going to happen so quickly, you’ll have to be ready in advance.
Your preparation is proof of your faith. Don’t wait until it rains to build a roof. Don’t wait for the money to plan your business. Don’t wait for the proposal to prepare for marriage. Start now. God’s pace is accelerating, and you must keep up.
Final Charge: Believe, Run, Steward
You’ve seen the sign. You hear the sound. Now, get ready for the speed of God’s fulfillment.
Let your response be faith. Let your posture be readiness. Let your vision be kingdom. And let your cry be:
“Lord, put me on your fast track!”
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time…though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” – Habakkuk 2:3
